STARTER
The outside operation consisted of one Starter in the afternoon. As Starter my duties were to prepare customers to tee off by greeting them at their cars, loading their bags, informing them to pay inside and show me their receipt. On the first tee I would tell them any cart rules and pace of play policies. Toward the end of the day it was also my duty to clean customer's clubs as they were finishing their rounds, and properly store cleaned golf carts in the cart barn. Being the Starter of the outside operation by myself was great experience as it provided me with invaluable tools that would become quite useful in future job opportunities.

GOLF CAR ATTENDANT
Working as part of the Outside Operation Staff at this high demand public facility was a great experience for me. Cleaning golf carts, preparing golf carts for customers, and maintaining the fleet was quintessential to the whole operation. The green fee included a golf cart so the fleet was a huge resource we needed to maintain. This golf course is located on a mountain so we managed gas carts. Paying close attention to gas levels and cleanliness in the carts was a must as it ensured they were ready for the next morning.
TUES/THURS NIGHT LEAGUES
Every Tuesday and Thursday night teams of four would play in an organized league. Teams set up tee times through the Golf Shop between 4:00pm and 5:30pm off alternating nines each week. Playing off handicaps that adjusted every 1st and 15th of each month members and participants would play to their handicap. A number of points would be awarded to teams based on where their team finished each week. Once a month we would have a match play event that took place where players from opposing teams would face one another. It was my responsibility to set up the golf cart fleet, create cart signs, scorecards, and a rules sheet that were attached to all the golf cars in the staging area. As we approached the 5:00pm shotgun it was my responsibility to greet participants at their cars, take their bags and find their golf cart. After working at Minebrook for four seasons, it became apparent that remembering names was extremely important. Knowing the majority of the participants that played on Tuesday and Thursday I was able to exceed customer service expectations and tailor a personalized experience for all of the participants that played.
GOLF SHOP ATTENDANT
Minebrook Golf Club has a Golf Shop with one Golf Shop Attendant, General Manager, and Tournament Manager. This was my first time working in a Golf Shop and it was great experience to start my career. Some specific responsibilities included answering phone calls, booking tee times, creating displays, handling cash and assisting in the organization of popular Tuesday and Thursday Night Leagues.
